December 2017 Meeting Minutes

Minutes from IMQG meeting Holiday Party December 3, 2017

Kim’s last question of the month was: What is your favorite Christmas song? Thanks for serving as our prez this year!

Treasurer’s report-Jayne is on grandma duty, but gave us an email report. She requests that you pay your dues if you have not ($25). Thanks, Jayne.

The Hurricane Harvey quilts have arrived in Texas, we received a nice note from Quilt Haus.

Our beautiful Charity Quilt is almost complete, to be sent to QuiltCon in February. Binding will be done by Lynne B., label by Cheryl M. Mailed by Lyla W. We discussed whether to donate the quilt to MQG, to be distributed to the victims and families of the shooting in Las Vegas, or to have it returned to us. We decided to have the quilt returned to us, and we will decide what charity it will benefit, and how this will happen. Val L. will contact Jerry Dietz of “Just Because”,

Valerie P. explained how she accomplished the sensational quilting on the charity quilt. Great job, Val, and thanks!!

Three Unquilts were unveiled.

Kim and Karen gave us a short survey.

We will give Quilters Corner a $50 gift card to thank them for generously allowing us to use their space for our meetings.

Party time and a most entertaining gift exchange ended the festivities.

Happy Holidays to all!!

Need to have the logo printed first before deciding on finishing the banner, plan the size based on how it might be used, like hanging on a table. Kim will send a high- resolution pdf to Sarah who will send it to Spoonflower for a 24x24 inch piece.
